Astronaut Heide Stefanyshyn-Piper '80 visited Cretin-Derham Hall. Her presentation included dramatic in-flight photos and videos from her most recent visit to the International Space Station (ISS) in November, 2008, during which she was the first female NASA astronaut to head a mission repair team. Following her presentation, she provided President/Principal Dick Engler with a plaque which included an American flag that was on board during the flight.
Heide also took an embroidered patch featuring the CDH logo, which she floated in front of a window on the shuttle Endeavour. The ISS can be seen outside the window. To see more photos from the event, click here: Heide Stefanyshyn-Piper Visits CDH
