CDH Music Department Hosts Spring Concerts

The Cretin-Derham Hall Music Department will host two spring concerts: the Choral Concert will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. in the Lillian Theater at CDH. The Band Concert will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2008, also at 7:00 p.m. in the Lillian Theater. Both events are free and open to the public. CDH Theater Presents "Once Upon a Mattress"

Cretin-Derham Hall Theater Presents Once Upon a Mattress

The Cretin-Derham Hall Theater Department will present the Spring Musical, Once Upon a Mattress, on two weekends, April 18-20 and April 25-27, 2008 . Show times are at 7:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2:00 p.m. on Sundays.

The play, written as an adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, The Princess and the Pea, was the inaugural Spring Musical presented by the Theater Department 20 years ago when the school merged with Cretin and Derham Hall to become Cretin-Derham Hall.

Tickets are $6 for students and seniors and $8 for adults. Tickets are available in the school office or at the door prior to the performance. For more information please call the school at 651-696-3333.

Theater Department Presents "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead"

The Cretin-Derham Hall Theater Department will present Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead on two consecutive weekends, February 15-17 and 22-24, 2008, in the Lillian Theater at Cretin-Derham Hall. The play is based on the misadventures of two characters in Shakespeare's Hamlet. Show times are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday matinees are at 2:00 p.m. Admission is $5 for students and $7 for adults. Justice Week to Focus on Economic Justice

Cretin-Derham Hall's annual Justice Week, which runs from February 4-8, 2008, is entitled "Seeking Economic Justice in a World of Need: What Then Must We Do?" The keynote speaker is Rosemarie Rumsey, director of Listening House, a drop-in center in downtown St. Paul for homeless people. She will be speaking at Cretin-Derham Hall on Monday, February 4, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

CDH Placement Test

Ninth Grade Placement Test Offered at Cretin-Derham Hall

For Immediate Release

The Cretin-Derham Hall Ninth Grade Placement Test will be offered on Saturday, January 19, 2008, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Cretin-Derham Hall. No pre-registration is necessary. There is a $10 fee to take the placement test. Please use the Albert St. entrance to the school on the day of the test. It is important for students to take the placement test at the school of first choice. Students whose first choice is CDH should take the placement test at CDH. The application deadline for applying for admission to CDH is also January 19, 2008. For more information please call the Admissions Office at 651-696-3302.
