Description/Purpose:Students spend time at Darst House in Chicago's Bridgeport neighborhood. This is an urban plunge experience,e taking students to schools, nursing homes, shelters, and soup kitchens.

Description/Purpose:Under the direction of members of the Red Lake Nation, students and staff are immersed in the history, traditions, spirituality and culture of the Ojibwa people.

Description/Purpose:This is a 10 day visit to the archdiocese's sister mission in Porto Ordaz in the eastern part of the country. The first two groups have played some baseball while learning about conditions in a Third World country and participating in service projects like building and rehabbing houses.

A visit to the stark and beautiful desert area of the US-Mexico border affords the chance to study    issues like immigration, sweatshop labor, free trade, etc.

School of the Americas Vigil

Students will travel to Ft. Benning, GA to attend the annual demonstration to close the Schools of the Americas.  Students will learn about nonviolence movements, visit the Martin Luther King museum, and enjoy great southern food.

Description/Purpose:

The parish/mission of San Lucas Toliman on Lake Atitlan in northwestern Guatemala is host to CDH students and teachers.  Students do service projects such as reforestation, build homes and shelters, pick coffee, and work at the parish school.

Maryknoll Border Immersion

Description/Purpose:  This border immersiion trip will go to El Paso, TX and Juarez, Mexico. There will be visits withh people on both sides of the border to learn something about the border reality.

This social justice trip includes working with various agencies in and around the Camden, NJ, and the Philadelphia, PA areas. Work sites change daily from area shelters to soup kitchens and are coordinated through Romero House.
